Pranayama - Breathwork

Prana means ´life force energy, the energy that fuels transformation, creativity and the path to higher awareness. Yama means `restraint or control´. Pranayama is the practice of conscious inhalations and exhalations with breath holds to maintain rhythm during physical exercises(asanas), create focus in meditation and relaxation in savasana. Patanjali, the ancient Rishi, wrote in the Yoga Sutras that Pranayama allows practitioners to control the mind and calm their thoughts, ultimately leading to enlightenment.

Regular pranayama practice will lead to long-term positive effects, including:

  • Improved concentration,

  • Noticeably more energy,

  • Increased lung capacity,

  • Effective detoxification through deep exhalation,

  • Improved HRV(Heart Rate Variability) by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and promoting calm.

Melanie Louise works with a variety of traditional pranayama techniques to create a unique sequence to address the needs of her clients in order to bring the benefits, balance and harmony that they need.

Meditation

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
